Cooperation with Outside Forces Is Obstacle to Improving Inter-Korean Relations: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities pay lip-service to the implementation of the agreement and thumb their nose at the dialogue partner through cooperation with outside forces. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in an article in this regard: The south Korean authorities have boosted cooperation with the U.S. in the nuclear racket against the DPRK under the pretext of the "settlement of nuclear issue". Outside forces are working hard to seize the Korean Peninsula which is called a gateway to Northeast Asia and located in a geopolitically important region. It is the sinister intention of the U.S. to occupy the whole of Korea with south Korea as a springboard and carry out the strategy for dominating Asia. The U.S. does not want to see the improved relations between the north and the south and Korea's reunification but is keen to isolate and stifle the DPRK. Reliance upon outside forces, the chief architect of the nation's division and disturber of reunification, will not help improve the north-south relations and will escalate the confrontation with compatriots. This being a hard reality, the south Korean authorities persist in depending on outside forces and cooperating with them in confrontation with the DPRK. This is an act of treachery as it makes the inter-Korean relations a scapegoat of outside forces though they narrowly weathered a crisis. The north and the south should independently solve all problems while rejecting outside forces. Only when they adhere to the principle of independence, can they overcome all difficulties and make their dialogue successful and mend their relations on the basis of trust. |
