The Syria TV Channel aired special news together with the portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung and videos carrying revolutionary activities of the President and leader Kim Jong Il.

It aired pictures showing the invincible might of the Korean People's Army and the efforts of the Korean people for building a thriving socialist nation and conveyed in detail the undying exploits of the great leaders for the foundation of the DPRK and its development and the cause of reunification of Korea.

The Syrian central radio aired the similar reports.

The newspaper Al Baath carried an article titled "On 67th founding anniversary of DPRK working hard to defend sovereignty and build a thriving socialist nation."

The paper detailed how the Korean people enjoy a worthwhile life in the socialist system centered on the popular masses.

The papers Al Thawrah and Tishrin carried articles praising the exploits of Kim Il Sung for the development of the DPRK shining as a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

The paper Al Nour carried an article praising the DPRK, a genuine country for the people fully ensuring all rights and dignity of the people just as its name implies.
