S. Korean Bodies Call for Launching Actions against Regime

Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- At least 50 organizations of south Korea including the Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Peasants Associations held a press conference at the conference room of the confederation on Sept. 22 where they formed the headquarters for all-people actions.

Speakers deplored plutocrats getting fat whereas millions of workers not receiving minimum wages.

Moreover, the security and vital right of the people are seriously threatened in the agricultural, educational and other fields, they said.

They called for joining in such actions as voting against evil labor law and a signature campaign for opposing rice import.

On Sept. 19, core members of the Confederation of Trade Unions and its affiliated organizations and 7 000 trade unionists held a rally in Seoul at which they declared they would fight against the authorities' policy against workers.
