Wreaths sent by Marshal Kim Jong Un were seen standing at the wreath-laying stands of the cemeteries.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju and other leading officials of the party, state and the army, officials of the party, the armed forces and power organs, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, officers and men of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and people in the city.

Wreaths in the names of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK were laid at the wreath-laying stand of the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, a wreath in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee and the SPA Presidium and Cabinet of the DPRK at the wreath-laying stand of the Patriotic Martyrs' Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and a wreath in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee, the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the National Defence Commission of the DPRK at the wreath-laying stand "Soul of Heroes" of the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery.

Then wreaths in the names of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, scientific, educational, public health and media organizations, party and power organs, enterprises, factories and farms in Pyongyang were placed.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs who remained intensely loyal to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and dedicated their youth and lives to the liberation and prosperity of the country and the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

They looked round the cemeteries.

Wreaths were also laid before martyrs' statues, cemeteries, monuments to People's Army martyrs and cemeteries of fallen fighters of the KPA across the country on the same day.
