S. Korean Body Urges Authorities to Opt for Mending North-South Ties

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty in south Korea at a press conference in Seoul on September 24 demanded the authorities come out actively for the improvement of the north-south relations.

The organization said the tension that spiraled close to conflict was deescalated by the south-north high-level urgent contact and the publication of a joint press release.

This raised hope for improving the south-north relations, the organization said, urging the need for the "government" to lift the bar checking the civilian exchanges.

Urging the authorities to opt for improving the south-north relations from a sincere stand, the body demanded them clarify their will on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of the October 4 declaration.
