Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- The DPRK will lively make equal and beneficial, economic collaboration and cooperation with different countries of the world and actively join in the international current of implementing the "Post-2015 Development Agenda". DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong, the head of a DPRK delegation, said this at the UN summit for adopting the "Post-2015 Development Agenda" on September 27. He referred to the fact that the agenda was adopted reflecting the will and desire of UN member states in the run-up to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the UN, saying that it is a significant event in the history of the UN. He went on: The agenda adopted this time is a fruit of constant efforts made by the international community to eliminate the poverty throughout the world and accomplish sustained development. It is still far from completely liberating humankind from poverty and building free, peaceful and prosperous world. It is for this reason that we adopted the 2030 sustained development agenda reflecting the further detailed targets for reforming and transforming the world. If the sanctions perpetrated from the medieval viewpoint going against the desire of developing countries for independence are connived, we won't be able to accomplish our good development goals. Now our people are registering great successes never known in the work for the sustained socio-economic development while overcoming vicious sanctions and all challenges of the hostile forces under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un. We are trying to provide the people with a more affluent and modern life by giving priority to science and technology and fully enlisting potentials of self-supporting economy. This will make due contribution to the implementation of the sustained development agenda for transforming and reforming the world. |
