The message said that since the independence the Nigerian people have met all challenges for the past 55 years and registered many successes in the work for the independent development and progress of the country and a new life.

Expressing belief that the long-standing excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger in political, economic, cultural and all other fields, the message sincerely wished the president fresh success in his responsible work for achieving peace and security of the country, consolidating national unity and building developed and prosperous Nigeria and good health and happiness.
