The U.S. imperialists concluded the above-said treaty with the south Korean authorities under the groundless pretext of the "threat of southward invasion" to realize the criminal ambition for dominating the whole of Korea at any cost on Oct. 1, 1953.

Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes this in an article. It went on:

For more than 60 years the U.S. has lorded it over in south Korea under the clout of the treaty and hurled the south Korean army into escalating military confrontation with the fellow countrymen and the moves for igniting a war against the north.

It is the strong desire of all the compatriots in the north and the south and abroad to reject the foreign forces' military domination and interference and achieve the historic cause of independent reunification by the Korean nation itself.

The criminal south Korea-U.S. "mutual defense treaty" should be repealed without delay as it violates the dignity and sovereignty of the south Korean people, check the improvement of the north-south relations and national reunification and increase the danger of a war against the north.

Now the U.S. is willing to keep the system of its military domination over south Korea by using the conservative group as its brides man but such a trick will no longer work.

There is no pretext under which the south Korea-U.S. "mutual defense treaty", an outcome of the confrontational times, can exist.

The U.S. and south Korean authorities should immediately repeal the criminal treaty and withdraw the U.S imperialist aggressors out of south Korea as soon as possible.
