The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said this in a joint statement on September 26.

A north-south summit was held in Pyongyang eight years ago thanks to leader Kim Jong Il and the October 4 declaration for the improvement of the inter-Korean relations and peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula was adopted, the statement said, and went on:

As Kim Jong Il wisely led the struggle for implementing the Three Charters for National Reunification advanced by President Kim Il Sung, the above-said historic declarations were adopted between the north and the south.

Although the pro-US conservative "government" of south Korea is putting the hard-won north-south relations at peril under the patronage of the U.S., it cannot stem the trend of the era of reunification guided by the spirit of By Our Nation Itself which started and made progress thanks to the above-said declarations.

No force can block the way of the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.
