Present at the event were Kim Yong Dae, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party who doubles as chairman of the National Reconciliation Council, Kim Wan Su, director of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea who doubles as chairman of the North Side's Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, Choe Jin Su, presidium member of the C.C., the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea who doubles as chairman of the North Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, Ri Kil Song, presidium member of the C.C., the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea, officials of the Council for the Reunification of Tangun's Nation, officials concerned, working people in the city and overseas compatriots.

A memorial service for Tangun took place.

Yun Jong Ho, vice-chairman of the Council for the Reunification of Tangun's Nation, said in a report that President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il found out and glorified the ancestral father of the nation and the history of the nation spanning five thousand years.

He praised Marshal Kim Jong Un for upholding and preserving the immortal feats of the peerlessly great men and further glorifying the history and tradition of the nation.

He noted that whoever truly wants the reunification, peace and prosperity of the country should thoroughly implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, united close in the noble idea of By Our Nation Itself.
