The hotel situated in the sports village of Chongchun Street has hundreds of rooms, several big and small restaurants, a wading pool and various welfare facilities.

An opening ceremony took place on Monday.

Present there were Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier and chairman of the State Planning Commission, Kim Yong Hun, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, officials concerned, soldier-builders, officials and employees of the hotel and sportspersons.

Ro Tu Chol, addressing the ceremony, said that the completion of the renovation project of Sosan Hotel is a realization of behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who worked heart and soul for the development of sports of the country and it is a proud labor gift presented to the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK by dint of the great army-people unity.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the hotel.
