He shook hands with commanding officers and officials one by one, praising them for having done a lot of work to carry out the order to round off the rehabilitation of the flood-hit Rason City before the party founding anniversary. "I have come here as I had thought I would feel relieved only when I looked round the newly built dwelling houses before any others," he said, adding he was pleased to travel to that place.

Going round dwelling houses, he learned in detail about construction and preparations for letting inhabitants move to new houses.

Asking officials whether the newly built houses are better than old ones, their floor-heating system is good and water is running well, he was greatly satisfied to see all the dwelling houses built in such a way as to enable the settlers to fully enjoy a happy and highly civilized life.

Noting the longer he watches the village newly built by service personnel of the People's Army at Paekhak-dong, the more fantastic it looks, he said with great satisfaction that color of the roofs and outer walls of the dwelling houses looks nice, roads, retaining walls and drainage ways have been built well, they have even vegetable gardens and firewood is supplied to them. "It has become a tradition to do so," he added.

Feasting his eyes on the picturesque dwelling houses of Paekhak-dong with a broad smile, he said they look so spectacular and he felt happy and proud to watch them.

"As I have always stressed, there is nothing more important than doing things for the people", he noted.

Being very pleased to see another fairyland built in more 30 odd days, he said this is a miracle of turning misfortune into a blessing that can be created only by service personnel of the People's Army which is faithful to the Party and ardently loves the people and he felt highly proud of being the supreme commander of the People's Army, the defender of the country, creator of people's happiness and vanguard for implementing Party's policies.

Highly praising the soldier-builders for helping the people cherish deep trust in the Party and protecting the prestige of the Party by devotedly carrying out the order given by it, he thanked all the units involved in the construction in the name of the WPK.

Noting that he felt his heart swell with pride when thinking about the feats performed by service personnel of the People's Army in all parts of Rason and felt the strong urge to boast of them before the world, he said he was reluctant to leave without having a photo session with them. So, he waited for an hour and thirty minutes till tens of thousands of service personnel have gathered for the event.

He had a photo session with soldier-builders with newly built dwelling houses as a background.

He was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, Kim Ki Nam, Kim Yang Gon, O Su Yong, Jo Yong Won, Kim Yo Jong and Ma Won Chun.
