Speakers recalled that the U.S. deputy secretary of State flew into Seoul to pressurize the south Korean authorities to improve the relations with Japan and deploy THAAD in south Korea.

This is aimed at building tri-angular missile defense system and alliance of south Korea, U.S. and Japan, they said.

They warned that if THAAD is deployed in south Korea, it will join in the U.S.-led missile defense system and turn into an advanced base of the U.S. for laying a siege to Northeast Asia.

They demanded the south Korean authorities and the U.S. lift sanctions against the north and stop pressure upon it if they truly hope for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Members of the above-said body persistently waged protest actions, chanting slogans for peace against war when the U.S. deputy secretary of State was having confabs in the Foreign Ministry and the "government" building.
