Xi Jinping in his message extended warm congratulations to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the C.C., the WPK and all its members and the Korean people on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK on behalf of the C.C., the CPC and on his own behalf.

Under the leadership of the great leader of the Korean people President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il the WPK led the Korean people to tide over the manifold hardships and achieve independence of the country and liberation of its people and attained noteworthy successes in the socialist revolution and construction of Korea, the message said.

In recent years First Secretary Kim Jong Un has led the WPK and the Korean people and made positive advance in different fields including economic development and improvement of the people's living standard true to the last instructions of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, it said.

It sincerely wished the Korean people steady, fresh and bigger successes in the construction of Korean-style socialism under the guidance of the WPK headed by First Secretary Kim Jong Un.

Noting that the China-DPRK friendship has a glorious tradition, the message expressed the willingness to successfully defend, solidify and develop the Sino-DPRK friendship together with comrades of the DPRK to bring happiness to the two countries and two peoples and to play active and constructive role to protect peace and stability of the region and the world.
