Present there on invitation were members of the delegation headed by Liu Yunshan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the CPC, and Li Chenqun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials.

Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Ri Chang Gun, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK, Ri Kil Song, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and other officials concerned.

Choe Ryong Hae noted in his speech that the Korean people are grandly celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK as an auspicious and revolutionary holiday with great pride and joy.

During its stay the delegation will witness the spirit and stirring reality of the DPRK where the service personnel and people are dynamically advancing with confidence in victory and optimism, single-mindedly united around the great Party, he added.

Liu Yunshan in his speech said the WPK made world-startling successes in the socialist revolution and construction by dint of the single-minded unity under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Noting the WPK with a glorious history and tradition is the center of leadership over the Korean revolution and construction, he sincerely hoped that the Korean people would register successes in building Korean-style socialism under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un.
