Present there from the WPK's side were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Pak Kun Gwang, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK and other officials of the Party Central Committee and from the opposite side were members of a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Ha Thi Khiet, secretary of the CPV Central Committee and director of its Mass Movement Department, and Pham Viet Hung, Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK.

Discussed at the talks were the issue of boosting the relations between the two parties and other issues of mutual concern.

Meanwhile, an agreement on cooperation between the International Affairs Department of the C.C., the WPK and the Commission for External Affairs of the C.C., the Communist Party of Vietnam was signed on the same day.
