Present there on invitation were members of the delegation led by Salvador Antonio Valdes Mesa, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and vice-president of the Council of State of Cuba, and officials of the Cuban embassy here.

Present there were Yang Hyong Sop, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Ri Yong Chol, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK, Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and officials concerned.

Yang Hyong Sop in a speech said that the party and people of Cuba have made great progress in the struggle for defending the gains of revolution and building prosperous socialism under the leadership of respected Comrade Raul Castro Ruz.

The Korean people will as ever struggle together with the Cuban people on the road for independence against imperialism and for socialism, true to the noble intention of the great leaders and Marshal Kim Jong Un, he added.

Salvador Antonio Valdes Mesa in his speech said: The friendly relations between Cuba and the DPRK developed by the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are growing stronger thanks to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

He sincerely hoped on behalf of the party, government and people of Cuba that the Korean people would register successes in the struggle for building a thriving nation.
