Present there on invitation were members of the LPRP delegation headed by Chansy Phosikham, secretary of its Central Committee and chairman of its Organization Committee, and Phonekham Inthaboualy, Lao ambassador to the DPRK.

Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, Pak Kun Gwang, vice department director of the C.C., WPK, and other officials of the party Central Committee.

Choe Thae Bok in his speech said the DPRK is rejoiced as over its own over many successes made by the party and people of Laos in their struggle to consolidate and develop the people's democratic system and strengthen the overall national power under the leadership of General Secretary Choummaly Saynasone.

It is the consistent stand of the DPRK to invariably develop the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations which were provided by the preceding leaders and to which the top leaders of the two countries pay attention, he said, adding the DPRK will advance shoulder to shoulder with the Lao comrades in the drive for carrying out the joint cause for socialism.

Chansy Phosikham wholeheartedly congratulated on behalf of the party, government and all the people of Laos the Korean people on their achievements made in building a thriving nation for the past 70 years under the leadership of the eternal leaders of the Korean people Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and of the WPK headed by Marshal Kim Jong Un, successor to their great revolutionary cause.

He extended sincere and deep thanks to the fraternal party, government and people of the DPRK for sending invariable support to the Lao people in their struggle for accomplishing the cause of national liberation and building a rich and powerful country.

He expressed the belief that the Korean people would successfully advance, registering bigger successes in building a thriving socialist nation.
