The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Chongjin City and paid tribute to them.

Present at the meeting were the captain and crewmen of the Sierra Leone-flagged ship YUAN-7.

Speakers said at the meeting President Kim Il Sung declared before the world the foundation of the WPK on October 10, 1945.

The President wisely led the WPK for several decades to be highly praised by the world progressives as the great leader who created a brilliant model in building the revolutionary party of Juche, they said, adding:

Under the leadership of Kim Jong Il the WPK has developed into the party of Kim Il Sung and the mother party, which formed a harmonious whole with the popular masses and serves them.

Today the WPK is carrying forward the revolutionary cause of the great leaders along the ever-victorious road under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
