Present there were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Pak Pong Ju and other senior state and army officials, the chairman of a friendly party, chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the WPK and delegates to the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK.

Also present there were heads of the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan and the congratulatory group of the General Association of Koreans in China and overseas compatriots on a visit to the DPRK to participate in the celebrations of the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.

Present there on invitation were a delegation of the Communist Party of China, a party and government delegation of the Republic of Cuba, a delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and other foreign delegations, diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations and military attaches of foreign embassies here and other foreign guests.

Speeches were made by Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Yang Hyong Sop and Ro Tu Chol at the receptions.

The speakers said that the whole country is celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK as the grand political festival with splendor.

The WPK has recorded a heroic epic of great changes startling the world in the history of the country by successfully embodying the idea and leadership of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu for seven decades since its foundation, they said, adding:

The WPK's dignity and might are being demonstrated in the highest level in the glorious Kim Jong Un's era.

All party members, service personnel and people will build the best power on this land to be envied by the world and surely achieve the independent reunification of the country with the concerted efforts of the nation.

The WPK will strengthen solidarity with the revolutionary parties and progressive people in the idea of independence, peace and friendship and wage a dynamic struggle for the global peace and security and prosperity and independent development common to mankind.
