Streets in Pyongyang were crowded with citizens who turned out to welcome them.

Flags of the WPK and the DPRK and red flags were seen fluttering along the route, posters celebrating the WPK's 70th birthday, slogans reading "Let's protect the leader unto death" and "Great army-people unity" and varieties of decorations were set up.

Pyongyangites including school youth and children warmly congratulated with garlands the participants passing before them, flying the colours of the Supreme Commander, flags of the WPK and the DPRK.

The warm welcome accorded by Pyongyangites to the participants in the military parade along the tens of kilometers-long route fully demonstrated the sky-high spirit of Kim Il Sung's nation, Kim Jong Il's Korea where its service personnel and people are dynamically advancing toward the bright future, single-mindedly united around the great party.
