The editorial said it was disclosed that the upkeep expenses paid by the south Korean "government" for the U.S. military presence had produced interest receipts of hundreds of billions of won for the past 10 years and this money had been used by the U.S. Defence Department.

It is irrefutably an illegal act, the editorial said, adding that such action of the U.S. forces can never be tolerated.
