The paper Horoya on Oct. 1 in an article titled "WPK has led the people for 70 years" said:

The WPK founded on Oct. 10, 1945 has led the people to victory while weathering all storms and trials of history.

It has led the people to build a prospering socialist state.

Under its guidance the DPRK, the first people's democratic state in the East, was built on September 9, 1948.

After the Korean war ignited by the U.S. imperialists the WPK led the people to wind up the rehabilitation and construction on the debris in a short span of time and built a socialist industrial state.

Popular policies such as free healthcare and free education have been enforced in the DPRK under the leadership of the party.

Under its guidance the DPRK has won victory only in ceaseless politico-military confrontation with the U.S.

Domestic, International and Seven National Languages Broadcasting Services aired the program under the title "Party praised by people" on Oct. 2.

It said:

The Korean people could lead an independent and creative life for the first time in the national history spanning five thousand years under the care of the party and keenly realized how dear the party is through their life experience.

The WPK is working hard to materialize all the ideals and dreams of the people, holding aloft the banner of the people-first principle.

The WPK is sure to always triumph like a deeply rooted tree remaining unshaken in any storm and stress as it enjoys absolute support and trust from the people.
