Those championships held in Thailand from Oct. 9 to 12 brought together at least 330 male and female judokas from 27 countries and regions including the DPRK, India, Mongolia and Kazakhstan.

Jon Su Song grabbed a gold medal by beating her Mongolian and Kazakh rivals in the female 40 kg category event of the junior championship.

Choe Chung Song and Ri Yu Gyong bagged silver medals in the male 60 kg category event and female 44 kg category event while Chae Kwang Jin came third in the male 50 kg category event of the same championship.

Jo Son Hyang placed first by trouncing her Indian and Japanese rivals in the female 44 kg category event of the youth championship.

O Son Hui, Ji Un Ha and Kim Jin A took silver medals in the female 48 kg, 52 kg and 63 kg category events of the same championship.
