Events Held Abroad to Mark WPK's Birthday
Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Meetings, lectures, Korean book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held by the Czechoslovak Communist Party, the Communist Workers' Party of Finland for the Peace and Socialism, the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway on October 7 to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos dealing with the immortal exploits President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un performed in leading the party-building.

On display there were their works, and books and photos introducing the DPRK prospering under the banner of Songun.

The participants watched the Korean films "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation" and "Songdowon International Children's Camp".

Iri Vabr, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party, said that the Korean people achieved epoch-making prosperity and progress in socialist construction under the leadership of the WPK.

The vice-chairman of the Communist Workers' Party of Finland for the Peace and Socialism said that the Korean people would surely build a socialist economic power and accomplish the cause of national reunification under the leadership of the WPK headed by First Secretary Kim Jong Un.

Dag Norum, chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway, said that the WPK has successfully played the role of the headquarters of the Korean revolution under the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il after its foundation.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Finland and Norway.
