Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, said this in a statement released on Oct. 9 on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK.

He went on:

Kim Il Sung founded the WPK guided by the Juche idea, built a country for the people on the land of Korea for the first time in its history spanning five thousand years and turned the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

Leader Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into the revolutionary party protecting and meeting the people's wishes and interests and turned the DPRK into a powerful nuclear weapons state and space power.

Marshal Kim Jong Un advanced the new line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force to remarkably bolster the war deterrence and resolutely shattered reckless nuclear blackmail and war moves of the U.S. imperialists and their followers with his brilliant wisdom and matchless grit.

The Socialist Party of Benin sincerely wishes the WPK and the Korean people greater success in building a thriving socialist nation and achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.
