On display there are products, charts, etc. representing more than 1 600 valuable successes made by teachers, researchers and students of 80 odd universities in the capital and local areas through dynamic scientific researches into the improvement of the people's living standard and the building of a socialist economic power.

The exhibition is divided into over 10 panels including agriculture, light industry, power industry, metal industry, railway transport, machine building, electronics and automation and medical science. They will offer opportunities of exchanging the successes and technologies acquired in the drive for solving scientific and technological issues arising in practice at present.

Present at the opening ceremony were Choe Sang Gon, chairman of the State Science and Technology Commission, Hong So Hon, president of Kim Chaek University of Technology, officials concerned, university teachers, researchers and students across the country.

Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, made an opening address.
