Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- 10,000 odd public workers launched a strike in south Korea Thursday amid intensified struggle of all workers in protest against the regime's unpopular policy, according to the south Korean internet paper Voice of People. They gathered at Jongro District, Seoul and held a meeting. Speakers blamed the regime for pushing ahead with the system for introducing "state-compiled history textbooks" in a bid to embellish "yusin" dictatorship and justify its retrogressive revision of the labor law. If the regime fails to stop the retrogressive revision of the labor law, it will be punished by all workers and other people, they warned. At the end of the meeting the participants marched toward Chonggye Square. |
