According to Sin Yong Min, section chief of the Gallery, its employees succeeded in developing nano-coating materials for the protection of Korean and oil paintings, in close touch with the Pyongyang University of Printing and other relevant units.

They also developed an ultraviolet-ray-resistant masking reagent with nano technology to prevent the discoloration of art pieces.
