W. A. Duminduwardane, chairman of the Committee of Self-Reliance Studies in Sri Lanka, said that the WPK could develop into an invincible party and always advance along the road of victory only under the wise guidance of leader Kim Jong Il. He went on:

Kim Jong Il brought about epoch-making changes by leading the struggle of the Korean people for the building of socialism.

It is the result of his wise leadership that the DPRK is demonstrating its dignity and might as one of not many satellite manufacturers and launchers and nuclear weapons states.

He energetically led the struggle of the Korean people for building an economic power ceaselessly visiting various parts of the country to the last moments of his life without any rest.

It is quite natural for the Korean people to hold such great father in high esteem as the eternal leader.
