The U.S. has mentioned nothing about the peace treaty while it is vociferating about "peace", floating misinformation that the DPRK's nuclear deterrent disturbs peace, the article notes, and goes on:

The Korean Peninsula requires durable peace, not tension, and to ensure peace on the peninsula is the unanimous desire of the Koreans and other world peace-loving people.

Clear is the stand of the DPRK. It is to defuse the danger of war and create peaceful environment on the peninsula at the earliest date and thus make a contribution to ensuring peace on the peninsula and in the rest of the world.

To this end, the U.S. should roll back its anachronistic policy for keeping the armistice mechanism and respond to the DPRK's just proposal on concluding a peace treaty without delay.

If the U.S. boldly makes a policy switchover, the security environment on the peninsula will make a dramatic improvement and it will help clear its security concerns.

How the U.S. will approach the DPRK's proposal in the future would offer the world an important occasion of judging whether the former stands for peace or a war.

The U.S. would be well advised to bear this in mind and fulfill its commitments from a right position.
