WPK's Birthday Marked at DPRK Missions Abroad

Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Meetings, seminars, book and photo exhibitions, film shows and receptions were held at the DPRK missions in China, Laos, India, Cambodia, Uzbekistan, Germany, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Spain, Equatorial Guinea, Algeria, Angola, Ethiopia and Peru and the DPRK permanent mission in the UN Office and international organizations in Geneva from October 5 to 9 to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). On display at the venues of the events were photos documenting the undying exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. Also on display were their works, and books and photos introducing the victorious and glorious course covered by the WPK. Korean films were screened at the film shows. Present at the events on invitation were high-ranking officials, members of organizations for the study of the Juche idea and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in the relevant countries and representatives of international organizations. The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and other personages praised Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for building the WPK. A vice prime minister in charge of the Royal Palace of Cambodia who is a member of the Presidium of the C.C., the People's Party of Cambodia said he was pleased that everything is going well in the DPRK under the leadership of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un. The general secretary of the Democratic Workers' Party of Spain said the WPK is a model and beacon of hope of the progressive political parties of the world aspiring after socialism. The chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru extended full support and solidarity to the just cause of the WPK and the Korean people. |
