Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to significantly organize remembrance meeting, film show and other political and cultural events praising the noble revolutionary career and immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il.
