A wreath sent by Marshal Kim Jong Un was laid before his grave.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, Kim Jong Im, director of the Party History Institute of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), officials of the party and armed forces organs, the Cabinet and national institutions and bereaved families.

Wreaths in the names of the WPK Central Committee, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the Cabinet, the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army and the Grand People's Study House and bunches of flowers were laid before the grave.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of Yon Hyong Muk.
