WPK's Founding Anniversary Celebrated Abroad
Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- A reception was given in Iran, round-table talks were held in Mexico, friendly gathering in Zimbabwe and film show in South Africa from October 6 to 15 in celebration of the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

On display at the venues of the events were photos of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were books and photos dealing with the successes achieved by the Korean people in the revolution and construction under the leadership of the WPK.

The executive secretary of the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran said in his speech Kim Il Sung was the great revolutionary and staunch fighter who made distinguished contributions to the history of struggle against imperialism.

The vice general secretary of the above-said party said Kim Il Sung fathered the Juche idea and successfully embodied it and Kim Jong Il turned the DPRK into a politico-ideological power and military power by pursuing the unique Songun politics, thereby firmly protecting the sovereignty of the country.

He expressed his will to boost the friendship and ties between the two parties.

The participants in the events held in Mexico and Zimbabwe praised the undying leadership exploits performed by the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu for party building and expressed support and solidarity for the just cause of the WPK and the Korean people.

Korean films "Songdowon International Children's Camp" and "Masikryong Ski Resort" were shown at the film show held at the Pretoria City Library of South Africa.
