S. Korean Authorities Urged to Respond to Call for Implementing Inter-Korean Agreement

Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification in a statement on Oct. 22 urged the south Korean authorities to sincerely respond to the call for the implementation of the north-south agreement.

The statement said the south Korean authorities should value the spirit of the agreement reached at the south-north high-level urgent contact.

The implementation of the agreement should start from the lifting of the "May 24 step" blocking the exchange and cooperation between the south and the north, it noted.

If the authorities want to make substantial contribution to developing the south-north relations, they should refrain from obstructing civilian exchange in various fields of the south and the north, it said.

It urged the authorities to positively opt for implementing the agreement.
