In recent years it has increased the variety of sedge products, including bags, mats and wall hangings depicting pine tree, tiger and crane.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un recognized a sedge carpet, one of its products, in August when he visited the Pyongyang Home for the Aged.

O Son Gum, manager of the factory, told KCNA that the factory has striven to steadily improve its products so as to suit the consumers' aesthetic taste.
