Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Romanian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said this in his statement on October 21.

The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK on October 17 issued a statement urging the U.S. to give up its hostile policy toward the DPRK and meet the principled demand of Pyongyang for replacing the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty if it sincerely hopes for peace on the Korean Peninsula, he said, and went on:

As clarified by the statement, an all-out war is being averted on the Korean Peninsula which is in the state of ceasefire and it is entirely thanks to the nuclear deterrence of the DPRK.

The issue of replacing the AA by a peace treaty is the issue which requires a bold decision of the U.S., above all, and a principled agreement should be reached between the DPRK and the U.S., first of all.

The U.S. should not groundlessly shun any longer the issue of concluding a peace treaty but prudently take a right option.

The U.S. should respond to the principled stand of the DPRK at an early date as it is the arch criminal disturbing peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. should pay heed to the just conscience of the world and behave itself.
