S. Korean Organizations Call for Halt to Moves for Distorting Historic Textbooks

| Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- The Council for the Peaceful Unification of Tangun's Nation and other organizations in south Korea held a joint press conference in Seoul on Oct. 22 in protest against the "state-compiled history textbooks" outside the building of the "government". More than 120 organizations issued a joint statement. The present regime and the ruling forces are promoting the edition of the "state-compiled history textbooks", the statement noted, opposing the serious distortion of history and ideological dispute caused by it. |
