Overseas S. Korean Scholars Oppose Authorities' Distortion of History

| Pyongyang, October 27 (KCNA) -- At least 150 south Korean scholars overseas issued a statement on Oct. 25 opposing the authorities' move to introduce "state-compiled history textbooks", according to CBS of south Korea. This is an extension of the regime's policy of suppressing the freedom of academic study, the statement said. It extended solidarity and support to history professors of south Korea growing vocal opposing the regime's move to introduce "state-compiled history textbooks". |
