South Korean Public Becomes Increasingly Critical of Chief Executive
Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- South Korean public is becoming increasingly critical of the chief executive for moving to introduce "state-compiled history textbooks", according to the south Korean media.

Youth and students conducted a campaign of pasting wall-papers ridiculing the chief executive for tampering with history in Seoul on Oct. 24 under the sponsorship of the Network of Youth and Students for Checking the Introduction of "State-compiled History Textbooks".

The wall-papers reflected the curse of the people against the present chief executive as she embellished "yusin" dictatorship and justified pro-Japanese and pro-U.S. acts and fascist dictatorship.

Majority of professors of history in south Korea released statements refusing to write textbooks in protest against the authorities' action.

An emeritus professor at Seoul National University in an interview on Oct. 23 said the system of introducing "state-compiled history textbooks" will be the biggest mistake of the present regime.
