The relay group started on the top of Mt. Paektu on Oct. 27 and arrived in the secret camp on Mt. Paektu.

Being briefed on the fact that leader Kim Jong Il was born as the Shining Star of Mt. Paektu and grew up, hearing gunfire during the great anti-Japanese war, members of the relay group looked round historic relics preserved at the secret camp with much care.

They participated in a pledge-taking meeting of the youth and students of Ryanggang Province held in Hyesan on Oct. 28.

At the meeting they expressed their firm resolution to successfully glorify the 70th anniversary of the founding of the youth league as a grand festival of the youth of the great Paektusan nation which will demonstrate before the whole world the might of the youth power without an equal in the world.

The members of the relay group left Hyesan and arrived in Pochonbo. They went round the command post of the Battle of Pochonbo, the then police post of the Japanese imperialists, the sub-county office, etc.

They visited the Samjiyon Grand Monument, the Paektu Museum and various other places in Samjiyon township.

They went round various places of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station and had a meeting with members of the youth shock brigade.

At the Taehongdan Revolutionary Battle Site they went round battle sites during the anti-Japanese war.

During the march, they conducted colorful political and cultural events including a meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas read by them and oratorical meeting.
