The commentary disclosed the absurdity of the authorities' suppression of members of the Inchon People for Achieving Peace and Reunification on charges of the violation of the "Security Law".

It is not a crime that they held a meeting, rally, seminar and press conference in demand of the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea, opposition to joint military exercises, abolition of the alliance with the U.S. and conclusion of a peace treaty, the commentary noted.

It demanded the authorities stop at once the discriminative and unreasonable racket about "followers of the north" aimed to crack down on the movement for democracy, peace and reunification.
