Present at the presentation were officials, researchers, technicians and teachers of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the State Academy of Sciences, the State Hydro-meteorological Administration, Kim Il Sung University, Pyongyang University of Architecture and forestry management stations in different cities and counties.

The objective of the presentation was aimed to earnestly study and introduce scientific and technical ways to bring about a fresh turn in the work for creating and protecting forest and conserving environment.

The participants heard valuable papers which scientifically and theoretically explained the issues of rounding off tree-planting and cultivating methods as required by the specific conditions of the country and breeding trees of good species necessary for turning the country into a thick woodland and greenery and orchard, and widely spreading trees and decisively boosting the rate of rooting of saplings.

There were also papers introducing research successes helpful to the work for letting people receive all benefits in the best natural environment including preventing air and water pollution, modernizing sanitation facilities and protecting ecological environment.
