October 10, 2015 marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of the WPK.

On the occasion there took place a military parade and public procession of Pyongyang citizens for celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK with splendor at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang, demonstrating the united might of the WPK and the Korean people before the world.

President Kim Il Sung founded the WPK after defeating the Japanese aggressors.

Under his leadership the newly founded WPK beat back the U.S. imperialist aggressors in the brutal war provoked by the U.S.

In the postwar period the WPK built a powerful socialist country independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence by organizing and mobilizing the people despite the vicious and ceaseless military threat and economic sanctions of the U.S.

The WPK has consistently adhered to the stand of opposing the aggression and nuclear threat of the U.S. and its allies and called for the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and worked hard to achieve national reunification, regarding it as its historic task.

The Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) pays tribute to the great achievements made by the WPK in its struggle for protecting the Korean nation and achieving peace.
