The WPK, which led the Korean revolution along the road of victory and glory, has recorded its glorious 70 year-long history, the magazine said, and went on:

The great President Kim Il Sung formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union on Oct. 17, 1926 which became the roots of the WPK.

At the Kalun Meeting the President advanced the original policy of forming basic level party organizations, to begin with, and founding the party by way of steadily expanding them. Pursuant to it, the organizational and ideological foundation for party founding was laid during the bloody anti-Japanese armed struggle.

On the basis of this, he founded the WPK on Oct. 10, 1945 without delay after the liberation of Korea.

For the past seven decades since its founding the WPK has powerfully demonstrated its dignity and might as the experienced and tested revolutionary party trained in struggle and the invincible party which enjoys absolute support and trust of the people.

The WPK has grown strong to be the eternal party of the leader and the mother party which formed a harmonious whole with the people thanks to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is glorifying Comrade Kim Il Sung's and Comrade Kim Jong Il's undying idea of party building and their feats.
