Present there were officials, teachers, researchers, field engineers and postgraduates in the field of building-materials industry including the Ministry of Construction and Building-Materials Industry, the State Academy of Sciences, Pyongyang University of Architecture and the Pyongyang Building-Materials Factory.

Its participants heard scores of papers conducive to developing science and technology in the field of building materials.

The presenters introduced the achievements and experience they gained in the course of locally producing various building materials, parts and elements, keeping the production of building-materials factories going at high rate and developing more varieties of quality building materials of world-level competitiveness.

There was a lecture on the world trend of the development of finishing building materials and scientific and technical issues arising in locally producing building materials.
