Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- The U.S. recently introduced nuclear carrier Ronald Reagan into the waters off Pusan and staged a large-scale joint naval drill together with the south Korean navy targeting the DPRK. The U.S. newly formed five squadrons with the latest equipment under the pretext of intensifying international capability for watching nuclear test. The U.S. military warmongers openly said the basic task of the squadrons is to intensively watch and analyze nuclear activities of the DPRK. The U.S. is intentionally fanning up confrontation with the DPRK and aggravating the situation to incite war fever, Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a commentary. Referring to the goal of the U.S. aggravating tension, going against the DPRK's proposal for a peace treaty and aspiration of the world peace-loving people, the commentary goes on: The U.S. is preventing the DPRK from directing efforts to peaceful economic construction in a bid to make it get used to the persistent tense situation and war drills and finally ignite a war against the DPRK and advance to the continent with the Korean Peninsula as a springboard. The U.S. is the ringleader disturbing peace and stability of the peninsula and rendering the whole world unstable by sparking off arms race and creating war atmosphere. The army and people of the DPRK will as ever take the toughest counteraction against the U.S. moves to stifle it. |
