The statement said that the south Korean and Japanese authorities are passive in settling the past crimes perpetrated by the Japanese imperialists such as sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army while seeking to tamper with history but they are buckling down to military cooperation and establishment of the triangular military alliance.

The south Korean authorities are working hard to instill their outlook on history into students and society by introducing the "state-compiled" history textbook, far from setting right Japan's wrong attitude, it noted.

It accused them of failing to take proper stand on Japan's increased provocations such as officially declaring the exercise of the "right to collective self-defense" and passage of security legislation and even making such reckless remarks about the possibility of the advance of Japan "Self-Defense Forces" into the Korean Peninsula.

It is important for south Korea and Japan to come out for improved relations with the north and show positive stand toward replacing the armistice system by peace mechanism, it stressed.
