S. Korean Organizations Call for Checking Introduction of "State-compiled" History Textbook

| Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- South Korean organizations of different circles including the Network for Checking "State-compiled" Textbook held a meeting at Seoul University on Oct. 31 to denounce the authorities for moving to introduce "state-compiled" history textbook, according to the south Korean internet paper Thongil News. The speakers said that the introduction of the textbook pushed forward by the present regime and the "Saenuri Party" is by no means for people's unity. They called on the students to wage a dynamic struggle to check the introduction of "state-compiled" history textbook just as they took the lead in the movement for democracy in the past. |
